A NOTE FROM YOUR TEA SOMMELIER FOR YOU
Spiced tea is closely associated with traditional Russian culture and considered the de facto national beverage. An important aspect of the Russian tea culture is the ubiquitous Russian tea brewing device known as a samovar, which has become a symbol of their hospitality and tea drinking ritual.
Tea-drinking can be viewed as a way of relaxing, a conversation starter and important in resolving work matters and reconciliation. This tea-botanica is loved not only for its warmth and taste but also for the feeling of well-being that it induces. The spices have a calming and comforting effect on body and mind.
It’s the evenings where I love to sip this warm-spiced tea. It is an opportunity to talk, share closeness and socialize. The tea can be drunk from special glass mugs encased in a metal holder, porcelain cups, or even tea saucers. Serving pastries add to the tea-drinking experience. Toasts served with butter, home-baked cakes, and biscuits also pair well with this blend.
